Shell Mould Casting

Shell mould casting : is used for both ferrous and non-ferrous metals. In this process of casting molten metal is poured into a mould. On cooling molten metal assumes the shape of mould cavity. Here the mould is thin-walled shell moulded by adding sand resins mixures around the designed pattern.

This gives a very high level dimentional accuracy used for high precision small and medium size intricate castings. This also enables high repeatability leading to higher volumes.
